Hello! My name is Vinnie. I’m a queer, neurodivergent, 46 year old who was born female and lived as a woman for 44 years. In 2024, I arrived at the realization that I’m transgender. I see pieces of myself in all gender variances, but am currently most comfortable describing myself as a trans man and using he/him pronouns. I live in the Northeastern United States with my wife, son, and cat, and love hiking, photography, and live music.

When beginning the process of discovering and understanding my gender identity, I struggled to find representation of other midlife people going through any type of gender transition – specifically folks who are dealing with the hormone imbalances of being postmenopausal and their experiences on HRT. Stumbling onto the stories of a few people who have medically transitioned later in life helped me to recognize and assimilate my own identity. I realized I couldn’t be the only person living through this experience at this stage of my life. It was then I understood the worthiness and significance of sharing my own story and journey. My main purpose and hope behind this project is to reach others who are searching and yearning for validation.
